SMH gave us a hint. I personally don't like change even working in I.T having to remember everything is a cunt.

Wireless Charging. This is like and brings us closer to real good technology. Imagine charging your phone in the car without having to plug it into something.

New WiFi standard is the only thing in there that hasn't been in every tech "prediction list" for the past 10 years.

Touch and gesture based has been around since before I was born,
Augmented Reality - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sega_VR (1993)
And induction based charging (Essentially RFID without the ID) - Invented in WW2 to detect friendly aircraft.

Technology just goes in cycles...

So what do you guys all think we'll see? Me, I'm putting it out there now, major death of Telcos for phone services in the next 5 years. As NBN apears SIP will become more prevelant, and users will have far more choice as to which Telco they want to use.

Telstra loosing the stranglehold on the broadband industry, and pushing their mobile network to consumers harder than ever before, but my most shocking prediction?

Steep decline in payphone use to continue.

The old VR shit sucked cock so hard that shit came out of the pee hole.

No more copper lines. all VoIP. Telstra will still be the main choice for people over 40 for the middle class.
The NBN wont be covering all of Australia.
Flying cars lol wheres my hoverboard! Entertainment will make a huge comeback as that's where 70% of the income is for technology providers. New XBOX. Possibly....unlimited polygons in games. HD will be the new SD.

hoverboard?
