No clue, but its interesting that it has an external ringer box attached.. and the fone number written on the wall.
was in one of those flooded areas

Also, phone card only, no coin tin,

It's just a jumper on the powerboard of an X2 to get it to ring, it's just disabled by default so the modem can answer.

I can't remember the number for it, there's a service to get the number repeated, probably hasnt changed though evidently our payphones don't actually ring. I'd love to steal one of those, strangely. That was the main reason everyone yesteryear wanted a road trip.

lol, 018-018-222? there is a 1800 number and uhm 127-22-123?
none of which work on payfones, you need to use fast, and we don't share our fast pins here sorry!

no, there was another number that simply left out the digits attached to the unique identifier attached to the payphone. it may be in something someone brings back perhaps on phreakfiles. people said the same thing then. I wouldn't generally want to speak about having FAST pins here..

The only ones with fast pins here are people who work for some form of telco *winks* but hmm, remember good old primus dcx (or something like that) thingy madoodle that u could get the numbers through haha

there is a few x2 payphones heading towards broken hill that are basicly sat phones.

According to good the good old payphone list, it's located in an Aboriginal community called Gapuwiyak, NT in Arnhem Land, and the number for it is (08) 8987-9108 which doesn't show up in Reverse Australia suggesting it's still assigned to the fone. Anyone want to ring them up? :D
