2G network shutdown
Im sure you are all aware of this, but i would like to bring it to everyone's attention
that all major telcos are planning on shutting down Australia's 2G network..
This might sound not to concerning for most, until you start to look at what exactly still uses and relies on the 2G network.
gsm relay units
gsm / gps tracking collars for pets, car tracking etc
but more importantly, what about those 2g gsm panic buttons and medical alarms, like old people have..
i do not think the Australian Gov, or telcos has put much thought into this at all, 2g medical alarms are quite common with the elderly, and people who suffer strokes etc, once again good work telescum.
