Now this is going to become interesting, on ebay a while ago you could buy ex-police hand held radios that had been wiped from having access to the encryption of the radio frequencies. Any news?

Nice blu_engie,

I've got the same radio as you show in the right hand side of your pic, (GM1200) with the remote head too, any idea what the two cables coming out of the cable do? The little connectors about 1m from the end of the cable?

Thinking it might be like a remote power on or something?

mines actually a MCS2000 with the series III head
The GM1200 was the European version or (wookie series) where the MTx/MCS/HT series radio were dubbed jedi series)
there should be a white 2 pin molex connector on there, its actually a speaker connector (for this to be used, the speaker pins on the 25pin accessory connector need to be shorted as per the manual, then a speaker can be used closer towards the head)

Ah, I'd been searching and trying to find out, I ended up breaking it open and soldering onto the header pins of the accessory connector in the back that you use for building repeaters etc.

Ah bugger,
Where do you get them / what are they called? I've searched for 16 pin Motorola on eBay etc and no dice?
